The technological revolution ignited by the pervasivity of the Web, of mobile phones
and sensors is generating an unprecedented wealth of data that is able to transform any sector of
human knowledge. Such revolution is currently led by the tech industry giants but data science
can also serve those organizations that work to change the world and make it a better place.
This is the ambition of our project “Data for social good and development”: give the
organizations working on social innovation and international cooperation the most advanced
tools to extract new value from data and boost their growth.
The project is part of the pilot initiative "Innovazione per lo Sviluppo",
promoted by Fondazione Cariplo in collaboration with Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione CRT to develop innovative technological and
scientific solutions in the field of international cooperation and social development.
The project comprises three thematic workshops featuring data scientists and prominent exponents of the international “Data for Good” movement.
